Nurse Practitioner

Loraine Redican
Nurse Practitioner – Description of duties
Nurse practitioners have had specialised education and training to allow them to provide higher levels of care and perform a variety of tasks that other nurses are not licensed to do. Nurse practitioners often focus on specific areas or populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health or adult medicine. They may complete an advanced degree program that allows them to practice independently and take on roles similar to that of a doctor.

Practice Manager

Our Practice Manager is Louise Perugia

Reception/Admin and other staff

Their job is to make your appointments on our computer booking system, receive you politely and kindly into our surgery (please always make sure you check in at the reception desk!). They  keep the surgeries running efficiently, organize many administrative tasks such as issuing your repeat prescriptions, test results, and a host of background tasks you never see.

The Primary Care Team

District Nurses

They will visit you at home and attend to any wound dressings, administration of injections and other medication, monitoring of certain conditions.

Health Visitors

They have a particular interest in preparation for childbirth, care and development of new babies and toddlers up to 5yrs and supporting and encouraging parents and helping them with any childcare problems and concerns.

Care Connection Team

Care Connection Teams (CCTs) look after patients aged 65 years and over, who have been identified by their GPs as needing case management because of their health and social care needs.
Where appropriate, a care plan will be discussed and agreed with the patient on how best to manage their needs.
There are a total of 15 CCTs across Hillingdon.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings(e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Devonshire Lodge Surgery in the last financial year was £56,072 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs and 2 part time GPs and 1 locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months
