Nurse Practitioner – Description of duties
Nurse practitioners have had specialised education and training to allow them to provide higher levels of care and perform a variety of tasks that other nurses are not licensed to do. Nurse Practitioners can issue an NHS prescription. Nurse practitioners often focus on specific areas or populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health or adult medicine. They may complete an advanced degree program that allows them to practice independently and take on roles similar to that of a doctor.
Our Practice Manager is Louise Perugia
Reception/Admin and other staff
Their job is to make your appointments on our computer booking system, receive you politely and kindly into our surgery. Please always make sure you check in at the reception desk! The reception and admin staff keep the surgeries running efficiently and organize many administrative tasks such as issuing your repeat prescriptions, test results, and a host of background tasks you never see. They are:

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings(e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Devonshire Lodge Surgery in the last financial year was £34,761 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs and 2 part time GPs and 3 Locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months
