Doctors

Dr Martin Hall

MB ChB, MRCGP Liverpool University Medical School 1984.

Dr Hall (male) trained in Liverpool and completed his training in Liverpool, Cheshire and Nottingham. He joined the practice in October 1989. His area of special interest is mental health and cardiovascular disease.

Dr Abdul Ghani

MBBS 1995 from Pune, MRCGP from Oxford Deanery 2007

Dr Ghani (male) joined Devonshire Lodge Practice in 2014 and is the diabetes lead for the practice. He also offers joint injections. He is a GP trainer and teaches GP trainees and foundation doctors. He represents the practice at the local Primary Care Network.

Dr Gulalai Hussain

MB BS, MRCGP, DRCOG, DGM, DCH, DFSRH

Dr Hussein (female) Qualified from University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2003. She undertook her GP training at Northwick Park Hospital and qualified as a GP in 2012. Dr Hussain joined Devonshire Lodge in April 2019 as a partner following 6 months of locum work at the practice. Together with other partners, she supervises trainees and medical students. Areas of interest: Diabetes, Geriatric medicine, children and women’s health and internal medicine.

Dr Jon Brewerton

MB BS MRCGP

Dr Brewerton (male) qualified as a doctor from St Bartholomews Hospital Medical School in 1976. He completed his GP training after posts at Mount Vernon and Harefield Hospitals and then at the Canadian Red Cross Hospital near Slough, before working as a GP Trainee at a practice in Stoke Poges. He became a partner at The Devonshire Lodge Practice in October 1981. He resigned from the partnership on 31st January 2020 but will remain with the practice for the forseeable future as a ‘GP Retention doctor.’

Dr Natalie Reid

MB BS MRCGP

Dr Reid (female) She qualified as a doctor from Charing Cross Medical School in 1998.  She completed GP training at Hillingdon Hospital and was a GP trainee at the practice in 2001. She currently works at Devonshire Lodge as a part-time GP.

Dr Thomas Dewhurst

Dr Thomas Dewhurst (male) graduated from University of Manchester in 2009 and also studied a BSc in International Health in 2008 at the University of Leeds. Since graduating he has worked in rural South Africa and New Zealand, before completing his GP training in Tower Hamlets in East London. He has a young family with four children. He has been a part-time salaried doctor at Devonshire Lodge since August 2018, working on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners can issue NHS prescriptions. Nurse practitioners often focus on specific areas or populations, including paediatrics, geriatrics, mental health or adult medicine. Nurse Practitioners may complete an advanced degree programme that allows them to practise independently and take on roles similar to those of a doctor.

Reception/Admin

Their job is to make your appointments on our computer booking system and to receive you politely and kindly into our surgery. Please always make sure you check in at the reception desk! The reception and admin staff keep the surgeries running efficiently and organize many administrative tasks such as issuing your repeat prescriptions, test results, and a host of background tasks you never see. The team comprises: Julie – Practice secretary, Meera – clinical notes summariser, Tina, Deborah - senior receptionists, Bronia, Brenda, Tracey, Louise, Sorcha, Yana

District Nurses

They will visit you at home and attend to any wound dressings, administration of injections and other medication and monitoring of certain conditions.

Health Visitors

They have a particular interest in preparation for childbirth, care and development of new babies and toddlers up to 5yrs, and supporting and encouraging parents, helping them with any childcare problems and concerns.
